Hey, I’m Caz (she/her), hailing from Hemel Hempstead, UK. I'm a lesbian who is super passionate about heavy metal and alternative music. A self-proclaimed nerd, I immerse myself in everything I’m passionate about, be it my favourite bands or indulging in horror movies. For me, metal isn’t just music—it’s my sanctuary. I find solace and connection in its melodies and raw energy. The quote “Music is my therapy” deeply resonates with me, encapsulating the profound impact music has on my life.
Among my favourite bands are Amaranthe, Epica, Metalite, In This Moment, Delain, Phantom Elite, and Sirenia. Symphonic and power metal are my favourite sub-genres.

After attending heavy metal concerts solo for over a decade, I've realized I'm never truly alone because I always encounter familiar faces in the crowd. Spending hours in queues just to secure a spot at the barrier has become a ritual I cherish. It's during these moments that I've forged connections with fellow metal enthusiasts who share my passion.
Last year, while patiently waiting to see the symphonic metal band Delain, a queer friend of mine joined me in the queue. She confided in me about feeling isolated as a queer individual within the heavy metal community. Her words struck a chord with me, igniting a spark of inspiration.
Reflecting on past aspirations, I recalled a time when a close friend and I entertained the idea of opening an LGBT metal bar. Although we lacked the necessary experience to pursue it at the time, the notion never truly left my mind. The birth of Queer Metalheads feels like a culmination of these long-held dreams, only coming to fruition in the past year as I've begun to seriously contemplate its creation.
I’ve also been working with bands for several years. I’m a motion graphics designer and I have created a business where I primarily make music & lyric videos. I have worked for many artists from around the world and in different genres. I love hearing new music and working on the videos. Check out my showreel:
In 2019 I also had the opportunity to work on a tour for the symphonic metal band Sirenia. It was an amazing experience on a nightliner tour bus. We started in Norway, then went to Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands and up to Eastern Europe. I love travelling so while I didn’t get to see many of the places properly, It put a few on my travelling bucket list.
On the tour, everyone was incredibly nice with 3 support bands there were a lot of people. I made some pretty amazing friends. Here are a couple of pictures.
